Very sore from yesterday, mostly my chest and shoulders. My legs are fine, but they don't usually hurt too bad after rowing. I will of course be stretching good today though because like usual everything is tight.
For anyone at Redline....the new WOD shorts are fantastic. They are 50$, which is cheaper than the OPT shorts. In my opinion the Redline shorts are better. I think the fit is better, which for me already makes them worth getting. The design of them is great. The mesh back is perfect and has a little bit of a different feel than the OPT shorts, a little more stretch in the areas you need it in for squatting. I did make the mistake of saying "everyone." We do only have them for the guys at this point...however when the women's shorts are put together, I think they will be just as good.
Speaking of stretching. I'm always in the gym for an extended period of time doing all sorts of band and lacrosse ball work. This video from Kstar on Mobility WOD is fantastic for the shoulders. I don't see this type of work done very often, nor have I done a lot of it. Check it out....
Crossfit in 100 words
Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. Keep intake levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: deadlift, clean, squat, presses, c&j, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc..hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports
